Brisbane $10,000 Building Boost Grant

New home buyers in Queensland may be eligible to receive a $10,000 government grant if they sign a contract of sale between August 1, 2011 and April 30, 2012.

The Building Boost Grant was recently announced in the Queensland State Budget (June 2011).  The grant  is designed to re-ignite Queensland’s housing construction sector and is available for those who purchase  a new property under $600,000.

It will be available to purchasers of new houses and apartments, both intending owner occupiers and investors are eligible and the grant is available to Australian citizens and permanent residents.
